Storyboard/Pre-Production:

IMM 110 Final

Proposal:
My final is an animation that I have created using the program Toon Boom Studio 8.0.  All frames are drawn by me and run at 12 frames per second.  The voice acting is also done by me and sounds were found online as well as the song Harleboss by Homestuck.

Production Log:
I had begun production on my animation by creating a storyboard to brainstorm and map out my ideas and story.  Upon finishing my storyboard I began revising the storyboard in order to make the animation more efficient and easier to complete while still looking good and carrying out the story I intended.  From there I animated the video in its entirety and tried to keep the humor and story together.  After completing the animation I focused on sounds and voices for the animation which, while an afterthought, was still important.

Self-Evaluation:
I am rather pleased with the outcome of my animation.  I like how all the details came together and I tried to add detail to the little things to make the whole piece come together and look good.  I am no expert in what I do for I have only been animating for a few years now, but as an animator each animation helps me get better and better and this is no exception to that.

There is always room for improvement and growth, and this is no exception to the case.  Every project is a learning experience.  For instance, I shouldn’t over complicate the task at hand and try to simplify the task from the get-go to avoid being pushed to last minute in my production.  But in the end, I love animating, I hope to one day have a career involving it in some way, shape or form; it’s what I love to do and I would be more than happy and absolutely lucky to hold a career in animation once I’ve gotten really good at it.
